Died peacefully surrounded by her family. Aged 90 years. Beloved wife of Patrick (dec’d) with whom she is now re-united.
Loving and loyal mother and mother-in-law of John, Patrick (dec’d), Dominic (dec’d), Jane & Erle, Bede & Trudi and Gregory.
Cherished ‘Strongest Granny in the World’ to John, Sophia, Suzannah, Charlie, Pia, Thomas, Patrick, Mitchell, Tara and to her great granddaughters, Juno and Lily.
Much loved sister of Daphne, Patricia, William, Fay-Therese, Margaret (all dec’d) and John. Gorgeous Aunt to all her nieces and nephews.
Daughter of William & Madeline Doherty, who she kept on their toes.
Maria will be dearly missed by all her family and friends, she truly was our sunshine. We look forward to celebrating the many stories in her long life.

A Requiem Mass for the Eternal Repose of Maria Seymour’s Soul will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lake Albert Road, Kooringal on Friday, 18th July 2025 commencing at 11:00am. Following Mass, the funeral cortege will proceed to the Wagga Wagga Lawn Cemetery, Brunskill Road, Lake Albert. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
